KENYA & TANZANIA CAMPING SAFARI

Day 1
Met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport ad transferred to your hotel.

Overnight on bed and breakfast at your hotel.

Day 2
7.30am; after breakfast, you drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Narok Town and continue to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. You arrive at the camp for lunch. In the afternoon depart for your first exciting game drive in the Mara.

The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is the home of the largest concentrations of animals in Kenya and is the northern extension of the famous Tanzania Serengeti National Park. Huge prides of lion live in the Mara; cheetah are often found on the plains. There are large herds of elephant and buffalo (but sadly, few rhino remain). Impala, zebra, giraffe, the unusual topi, and many other antelope graze across the famous grassy plains. The birdlife in the Mara is fantastic.

Dinner and overnight stay at the Camp Site FB.

Day 3
The morning and afternoon are spent game driving in the Mara.All meals and overnight stay at the Camp Site FB.

Day 4
After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will arrive for lunch at a town hotel. Afternoon drive to Lake Nakuru National park for a game drive.

This Park is mainly an ornithological attraction, because of the millions of flamingo, which, at certain seasons, live on the edge of the lake. The first rhino sanctuary was set up in Lake Nakuru, and the park is now home to literally hundreds of different varieties of birds, water buck, wart hog, impala and other antelope, as well as a good resident population of both rhino and lion.
Evening return to Nakuru Town for dinner and overnight at the hotel FB.

Day 5
After breakfast depart and drive to Samburu Game Reserve arriving for lunch at the camp.
Samburu and Buffalo Springs are the home of the unique northern species of animals, the shy gerenuk, Beisa oryx, Somali blue necked ostrich, the reticulated giraffe and Grevy's zebra as well as the large numbers of elephant and buffalo, which drink on the edge of the wide flowing Ewaso Nyiro river, which runs through the Reserves. There are lion and cheetah and leopard are regularly seen on baits which are floodlit by the main lodges.
After lunch a game drive in the reserve and return to the camp. Dinner and overnight at the Camp Site FB

Day 6
Early morning game drive and return to the camp for breakfast followed by time at leisure. After lunch a short rest followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Camp Site FB

Day 7
Leaving after breakfast you drive towards Mt. Kenya National Park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure, dinner and overnight stay at the Camp Site FB. Warm clothing is recommended as nights tend to be chilly.

Day 8
After breakfast depart with picnic lunch and drive via Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. Game drive enroute for dinner and overnight at the Camp Site FB.
This Park is a seasonal swamp; during the wet season, the waters spill over a large area, attracting many different animals and a great variety of birds. During the dry weather, the swamp dries up, and the landscape is alive with swirling 'dust devils' and a shimmering mirage. The Park is always dominated by the huge bulk of Mt. Kilimanjaro, at 5895 metres, the highest mountain in Africa. The sheer beauty of this magnificent mountain in the early morning or late evening is an unforgettable sight.

Day 9
The day starts early with a morning game drive in the clear light of dawn when the mountain stands proud in the sky above. Amboseli is renowned for its herds of elephant. There are large herds of buffalo, but the cat family is more difficult. Lion and cheetah are occasionally seen. Giraffe, zebra and a variety of antelope proliferate. Bird watching is a delight and the smaller animals such as monkeys, mongoose and wart hog may be spotted.

After breakfast, you have sometime at leisure before lunch. Dinner and overnight at the Camp Site FB

Day 10
Depart after breakfast and drive to Namanga border and after clearing with customs and immigration proceed in Tanzania vehicles to Arusha for lunch. Afternoon drive to Lake Manyara National park, afternoon game drive on arrival.

Day 11
After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti National park with picnic lunch. Game drive enroute for dinner and overnight at the Camp Site FB.

Day 12
After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch for a full day game drive in Serengeti National park. Dinner and overnight at the Camp Site FB.

Day 13
Early morning game drive then drive to Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge and the museum. Picnic lunches and proceed for dinner and overnight at the Camp Site FB.

Day 14
After breakfast, descend at the top of the crater floor for a game drive with picnic lunch in the afternoon before ascending. Drive back for dinner and overnight at the Camp Site FB

Day 15
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for Lunch. Afternoon transfer to Namanga border and proceed to Nairobi.

Dropoff at Nairobi Airport.
